Hateful People Fixate on What They Hate.

They are obsessed.

It’s interesting how hateful people fixate on what they hate. Usually, a person avoids things they hate, such as spiders, snakes, and certain foods. Hateful people often target groups such as the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous & people of color), LGBQTI+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and Asexual +), migrants/refugees, women, individuals with disabilities, Veterans- basically people whom they feel superior to or who they feel should not be equal to them or should not be living in their chosen lifestyle.

Rather than spend the time or energy unpacking why they feel this way, they typically go to the length of finding other miserable people who also have hatred festering inside, just to feel validated. What a weak, strange, and foolish way to give yourself a false sense of superiority. It’s no wonder they want or feel the need to resort to or cling to bullying, privilege, money, or weapons as a form of intimidation or as a way to feel powerful, because all of these behaviors are rooted in inferiority, fear, and weakness- yet another disguise for their insecurities. This kind of person is severely unwell and, in fact, inferior. Strip them of all these factors, and they are nothing. Establishing a sense of value comes from within. You don’t need external things, and you especially should not have to demean or oppress others to feel big. And it’s a whole other level of hatred to pursue roles that enable or feed their hatred, roles that allow them to use their privilege to weaponize those they hate. To bully, intimidate, harm, torture, or commit atrocities such as beatings, lynches/mob actions, and flat-out murders of people they are obsessed with hating. Sadly, too many get away with this behavior & go right home to their families with no remorse & free to live out their lives.

Instead of facing the discomfort of the ugliness inside, they’d rather speak and act on hate to ‘self-soothe.’ They’d rather face prison or death and stand by their hatred toward others than admit any wrongdoing. If only they realized this is more of a reason to look within than to look to exterior reasons for your misery. Hatred is so blinding that such people see no wrong in it and will gladly take this stance to the grave. You can spell out why it is wrong to be hateful in the simplest format, but for many hateful individuals, I am afraid it’s not always a lack of understanding. I think this inability to change is rooted more so in being selfish and simply not wanting to change. Changing would be too uncomfortable and, to them, perhaps means giving up a level of toxic pride or ego that they don’t want to give up.

Sometimes, I wonder, out of 100% of hateful people in the world, how many of them would actually have a change of heart? How many will carry the hate to the grave? And how many will decide to change on their deathbed, when the damage of a lifetime is done and after they’ve already made their impact on others in their lifetime?
