About Intersections:
Intersections are important for identity because no one experiences the world through just one aspect of who they are. Our identities are made up of different characteristics, such as race, gender, sexuality, social class, religion, culture, and disability. These aspects overlap and interact with one another, shaping how we understand ourselves and how others perceive and treat us.
This concept is known as intersectionality, a term coined by legal scholar Kimberlé Crenshaw. It explains how different forms of privilege and discrimination can overlap, creating experiences that cannot be understood by looking at each identity separately.
Intersectionality helps us recognise that everyone's experiences are unique. It encourages us to look beyond single aspects of identity, understand inequalities more deeply, and build a more inclusive and empathetic society 🌍

"You Look Young!" I don't like this Compliment.
Let's stop further perpetuating this false beauty standard. Ageing is a privilege. We need to honor it, not shame it.
-

Religious Entitlement
The religious symbol that makes you feel comforted or safe can make someone else feel unsafe. To be clear: this video is not an invitation to debate religion. I will absolutely not be discussing or debating anyone’s religious beliefs in the comments.
Religion is being used here as an example of a broader issue: entitlement, imposing your beliefs onto shared/public spaces, and expecting your personal meaning to override someone else’s experience.
The point is the behavior and the unequal standard, not whether anyone’s particular religion or belief system is “right.” If carving “Jesus” into a public bench counts as devotion, then carving “Satan” into that same bench has to count as devotion too, because it’s the same behavior and the same disregard for public property. Calling one sacred and the other vandalism is entitlement, the assumption that your god/belief system gets special treatment others don’t.

• 10/3/26Please Do Compare
This video is from my IG and is both a response and a continuation of an older video I made on comparing. I’m using a clip of this guy as a direct example of why I support comparing in general and in relationships.
In the clip, he says he doesn’t think women should have certain rights, including that women shouldn't have unsupervised access to other women, and that their social media should be monitored, etc.
Has comparing any aspect of your life led to a positive life change for you? • 8/29/25“They Just Want Attention” And? So what!
They Just Want Attention. And? So what. Why is wanting attention automatically treated like a bad thing? In this video, I’m challenging the idea that being visible, expressive, or comfortable putting yourself out there somehow makes you less grounded, less secure, or less respectable. Maybe wanting attention isn’t the problem. Maybe you and your judgment are 😉. Let’s chat about it.

• 9/12/26‘All Women are the Same’ - Are They?
Let me make this clear…
If anything I say about what I am - not - interested in triggers you, threatens your identity, your expectations, or your fantasy of how a woman ‘should’ exist, and your first instinct is to lash out in the comments, don’t bother & don’t embarrass yourself.
You would not be checking me; you’d be merely exposing yourself (your unresolved insecurities). Take that discomfort somewhere useful, like therapy.
There have been some occasions in my life where a women lashed out over not only my interests/talents/abilities BUT, even more telling, over my lack of interest.
My disinterest seems to short-circuit some people. Instead of asking themselves why it bothers them, they project. They decide I must think I’m superior simply because I don’t want what they want.
That belief lives entirely in your head.
So, speak for yourself. If - you - think I believe I’m better than you, congratulations on the self-report! lol. What you’re really admitting is that - you - believe I’m better than you 😂
People don’t react to confidence; they react to what it exposes in them. I am not here to carry the weight of your jealousy.

• 9/12/26Mental illness, Homelessness & Misconceptions | Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, Stress
My family and I have been navigating the journey of supporting a loved one with mental illness for well over a decade.
My sister's missing persons report was publicly posted by the Federal police, along with other community pages, which garnered a lot of interest (thankfully, she was found!).
Due to the repetitive comments people often make (and a few very ignorant remarks), I’d like to set some things straight regarding mental illness and homelessness.
Over the years, we have heard many well-intentioned but ultimately unhelpful comments. Such statements often reflect a lack of understanding and can be unintentionally hurtful. I hope this can help you gain a better understanding of this topic and allow you to spread awareness about it with others.
Thanks for tuning in.

She said my skin was “poop”. My 1st Ballet Class & Racism.
This is Still Happening!
When I was a little girl, I dreamed of being a ballerina. I loved my tutu and the ballet bag my mom bought me. I would dress up at home, practice my pliés and relevés, and imagine myself becoming a ballerina one day.
**In the audio format, you will hear me say "swipe for next page," but disregard it, as you can just listen without doing anything :)
Then I finally got the chance to take ballet lessons. But when I walked into that classroom, I noticed immediately that no one looked like me. Then another little girl looked at my brown skin, called it “poop,” and wiped her arm after accidentally touching mine, as if I had a contagious disease.
I was just a child, but I remember the feeling. The embarrassment, the hurt, and the feeling that something about me was wrong.
I didn’t stop loving ballet. I stopped feeling safe enough to pursue it outside of home. And unfortunately, this happened with many other things I wanted to do.
Looking back as an adult, I understand that this experience was about more than one hurtful comment. It became part of a much larger pattern of racial experiences that shaped how I saw myself, how I moved through the world, and how often I felt safe enough to be fully myself.
For years, I thought I was simply “shy.” It wasn’t until much later, through therapy, that I began to understand myself differently. I wasn’t a different person at home and outside of home. I was the same playful, expressive, creative little girl. I had simply learned where it was safe to be her.
This is one of many childhood memories I carry, and I’m sharing it because I know I’m not the only one. Children absorb far more than we realize. They notice who is included, who is celebrated, who is considered beautiful, and who is treated as different. They can begin internalizing those messages long before they have the words to explain what they are experiencing.
And something happened just a few years ago that brought this childhood memory right back to me:
When I lived in Hawaii, a white American girl who was my neighbor came to me crying after school. Other white children had told her that her skin was “poop” and asked her why she was so dark because she happened to have a beautiful, naturally tan, olive complexion. She told me sadly that she didn’t want to be brown and asked why her skin had to be brown. I talked with her about it and shared my own story of experiencing something very similar around the same age, when I was five/six.
And I’ll say this plainly: from the late 80s and early 90s to today, we need to do better. Parents, society, systems, all of us. Because there are children who never make remarks like this about someone else’s skin color. So the question is, why are some children learning, at such a young age, to belittle another child for having brown skin? Where are they learning that?
Children are not born believing that one skin color is better than another. They learn these ideas. And that means we have a responsibility to be intentional about what we teach, what we model, what we normalize, and what we challenge.
Every child deserves to feel safe being exactly who they are. Different skin shades. Different hair textures. Different cultures. Different bodies. Different ways of communicating and expressing themselves. Different ways of experiencing the world.
None of these differences are wrong, and no child should have to shrink themselves because of them.
This is why I share my stories. To remember the little girl I was. To honor what she experienced. To continue healing and unlearning, and to look at how far I’ve come. 🩰🤎
And hopefully, to help someone else feel a little less alone.
If you’ve experienced something similar, I hope you know there was never anything wrong with you.

• 9/12/26Men Get Abused Too.
Many people recognize emotional abuse when the victim is a woman. Far fewer recognize it when the victim is a man.
In this video essay, I explore how controlling, manipulative, and emotionally abusive behaviours can become so normalized that they're dismissed as "just how women are," "happy wife, happy life," or "that's just marriage."
We discuss:
Why common relationship behaviours aren't always healthy.
The difference between insecurity, emotional dependence, and emotional abuse.
What female-on-male emotional abuse can actually look like.
Why constantly walking on eggshells isn't normal.
How mental health may explain behaviour but never excuses abuse.
Accountability, boundaries, and protecting your own wellbeing.
This video is not about attacking women or denying that women experience abuse. Women absolutely do experience abuse. Abuse is abuse regardless of who commits it or who experiences it.
If this video helps even one person recognise unhealthy relationship patterns or feel less alone, then it was worth making.
If you found value in this discussion, consider liking the video, subscribing, and sharing it with someone who may need to hear it.
I'd also love to hear your thoughts in the comments. Please keep the discussion respectful and constructive.

• 9/12/26Oops Your Jealousy is Showing.
Jealousy is an emotion. Weaponizing it is a choice.
There's a big difference between recognizing your insecurities and making everyone else responsible for them.
If you're constantly monitoring your partner's every move, creating stories about people who've done nothing to you, or confusing control with love, it may be time to ask yourself whether you're protecting your relationship or feeding your own fears.
In this video, I break down 10 behaviors that are often disguised as "being protective" but are actually rooted in insecurity and jealousy.
Healthy relationships aren't built on surveillance, manipulation, or control. They're built on trust, communication, emotional maturity, and accountability.
Your insecurities are your responsibility. They're not your partner's responsibility, and they're certainly not the responsibility of innocent people you've decided to compete with.
Which behavior do you think gets normalized the most in relationships?

• 9/4/26We Don't Sleep Together
Sleeping separately often leads people to jump to negative conclusions, ones that usually say more about their assumptions or insecurities than about the relationship itself. “Something must be wrong.”
What if sleeping in separate bedrooms is actually a sign that something is working?
In this episode of ‘Eff' Norms, we're questioning the relationship "rules" we've been taught to accept without ever asking whether they actually make our lives better. For us, separate bedrooms mean better sleep, more peace, and a stronger, happier relationship, not less love.
You don't need a traditional relationship. You need one that works for you. What's one relationship "rule" you've challenged or let go of? Share it in the comments.

• 9/12/26Why ‘Years Together’ Mean Nothing.
Stop measuring relationships by time. Start measuring them by truth. Today’s episode of Eff’ Norms: We Don’t Celebrate Anniversaries or “Longevity”. Some of you are not in love; you are just committed to staying. Too many people pride themselves on celebrating “X amount of years together” as if longevity alone equals success.
This one ties directly into my last video about what people think they need for a “healthy relationship.” Years together do not mean ‘healthy’; it can mean fear, comfort, or survival. Here we reflect on what people are really celebrating….

It might be time to rethink what Valentine’s Day really means and whether it should be used as a tool or measurement of a relationship’s success. It may also be worth reconsidering the assumption that if someone chooses to opt out, it must come from a negative place.
Sometimes it is not about rejection or resentment. It can simply reflect a different perspective on love and how it is expressed and celebrated 💘

The number of people who complain about winter every single year is insane! Lol. Either relocate to a warmer climate or learn to embrace it- because the complaints won’t change the fact that winter shows up every year. But don’t worry, I used to be one of those people too.

• 9/12/26Things People Think They Need to have a Healthy Relationship.
Stop chasing optics. We were taught that love has a formula: Rings. Marriage. Kids. Traditions. Milestones. Some of the most “perfect-looking” relationships are deeply unhappy. And some of the healthiest ones break every rule.
You don’t need traditional milestones to have something deeply healthy, loving, and secure. Maybe letting go of the need for the aesthetic is where the peace and fulfillment actually begin.

• 9/12/26Holiday Gatherings Don’t Make up for Neglecting Your Wellness.
Cherishing your loved ones doesn’t just mean spending ‘time’ together. Time means nothing if you choose to either stay toxic or neglect your health - which will catch up to you eventually & make everyone suffer around you. Love is attachment, just like a web. If one part of the web is affected, it affects the entire web. People cannot change you; they can send you messages, but it’s up to you to care enough to change.

• 9/4/26Parenthood Superiority Complex
I want to clear this up directly so that you, the viewer, don’t have to guess my intentions or assign a motive to my words. I’ll simply tell you 😉 👉🏽
Who is this for?
This education is open to everyone.
• Parents
• Those considering parenthood
• Those who are child-free by choice
👉🏽 Why do I teach this topic, and everything else I speak about? As an educator, when I see a knowledge gap in society, it genuinely excites me. I see it as an opportunity to educate, raise awareness, challenge misconceptions, and advocate for the right of all people to make personal life choices free from unnecessary judgment and misinformation.
👉🏽 My intentions are simple: My intentions are simple:
1) I am not here to convince anyone that one lifestyle is better than another.
2) I believe in the right to choose the path that aligns with each individual’s values, circumstances, and life goals.
3) I encourage people to make balanced, informed, and thoughtful decisions rather than relying on harmful narratives, fear, or the experiences of others being presented as universal truths.
4) I believe it is important to discuss the more complex and uncomfortable realities of parenthood that are not always openly talked about. Caring about children also means caring about the people who may one day raise them. Those considering parenthood deserve honest information and thoughtful conversations before making such a life-changing decision.
Three truths can exist at once:
• Parenthood can be deeply meaningful.
• A child-free life can be deeply meaningful.
• Neither path makes someone inherently superior. Fulfillment isn’t one-size-fits-all 🫶🏽
👉🏽 Something many people may not realize: Child-free individuals often have a unique perspective and lived experience that others may never personally encounter.
This is especially true when it comes to the comments, assumptions, and expectations that are often directed specifically toward people who choose not to have children.
Many child-free individuals experience being on the receiving end of misconceptions, unsolicited opinions, and assumptions from both well-meaning people and those who are simply uninformed, unwilling to learn, or disrespectful.
At the same time, there are also many conclusions made about parenthood before the experience is fully lived and understood. Parenthood is a complex, evolving journey, and many realities only become visible through experience, reflection, and honest conversations.
The purpose of this education is to encourage curiosity, challenge assumptions, and create more space for honest conversations about the many different ways people experience fulfillment, identity, and meaning.

• 9/12/265 Sneaky Ways People Disguise Control, & Abuse in a Relationship
Two toxic individuals can easily develop a toxic dynamic in which both partners feed into each other’s harmful behaviors.
Over time, this dynamic becomes normalized, and they may even become defensive, enabling, or making excuses for it. When one partner is controlling or abusive, and the other comes from an upbringing where love was inconsistent or withheld, the dynamic becomes even more complicated.
The deprived partner may interpret control as care, mistaking the intensity for love. This creates a harmful yet powerful bond, forming a perfect recipe for confusion, dependency, and a cycle that feels familiar rather than healthy. Within their shared reality, they may genuinely believe they are happy, simply because this is the only version of “love” they’ve ever known.
Lacking exposure to healthier relationships, they remain oblivious to the dysfunction. And ultimately, if that is the dynamic they accept and are satisfied with, it becomes their version of normal.

• 9/12/26White Gatekeeping Must Stop | Spaces that remain overwhelmingly white & unwelcoming
Let’s take the time to learn about one another’s experiences: to listen, connect, and grow together. By embracing our individuality, uniqueness, and diversity, we can build stronger, more inclusive communities.
We discuss spaces that remain overwhelmingly white & unwelcoming. White Gatekeeping in these Spaces is UNDENIABLE. People of color are too often met with suspicion, stares, microaggressions, or even open hostility. This needs to change. It’s time to dismantle systemic exclusion and gatekeeping rooted in white supremacy.
The key is unity and the commitment to collective, anti-racist action. We all have the power to create a better, more just world. Every effort counts. Every voice matters.

• 9/12/26'I'm Not Reading That' | Typical Response of a Toxic Person?
Have you ever had someone respond this way to you after taking the time to write a message, email, or letter? Communication is an essential part of being human. Responding with immaturity or disrespect doesn’t demonstrate strength or superiority; it reveals the opposite.
If someone chooses to engage in conversation, why not meet them with maturity and respect? It’s a basic part of life, and there are countless ways to communicate thoughtfully. Written and verbal communication each offer unique advantages.
Writing, in particular, allows us to pause, reflect, edit our thoughts, and express ourselves with clarity. It gives us time to re-read, correct mistakes, and engage when we’re mentally ready, without the pressure of being interrupted. Instead of dismissing these forms of communication, we should appreciate the space they create for more intentional and respectful dialogue. This is all providing the message being received is respectful in nature and not harassing, threatening, or harmful, of course. I think back to instances when I received long messages. The funny thing is, I have never thought to respond in this sort of way, because I value a person's time and effort to communicate or express themselves, whether it's writing or speaking. And yes, even in cases when the message may have aggravated me. I can compartmentalize my appreciation for a person taking the time and effort to write, vs. how the actual message may come across or make me feel. I am able to do this whether they make valid points, leaving me unable to refute the message, or whether it reveals misunderstandings or disagreements. What falls under being toxic? It can be both intentional and unintentional.
All hope is not lost! You can certainly recognize your toxic patterns and seek support to work on personal and inner growth. Toxic in relation to people: All things that fall under Verbal, emotional, and physical abuse, neglect, unaddressed or neglected mental health issues, poor emotional regulation skills, disrespectful, inconsistent, gaslighting, causing drama or conflict with others, manipulative, not accepting responsibility, plus more.
It could be how they were raised, their experiences, personality, or a combination. They don't know healthy ways to deal with their own stress, so they behave in ways that cause harm to other people. These people can create stress and unpleasantness for you and others, not to mention emotional and even physical pain. Source: WebMD. May you stay toxic-free! Much love.

• 9/12/26Toxic Fans | Vybz Kartel Summerjam 2025 What Happened? Poor Vocals? Gaslighting? Full Analysis.
Let me save you some time. This video is not for you if:
(1) You are a toxic fan (if you exhibit any of the behaviors I discuss in this video, you will be blocked).
(2) You don't respect people's lived experience, as it is not up for debate! Keep the comments respectful to me and my supporters.
(3) You have a short attention span & reactively jump to comments or draw conclusions without listening to the entirety of a message or video.
(4) You don’t get the concept that, yes, you can either appreciate, love, or like a person and also constructively criticize.
Then, just don’t even bother watching the video! lol
Description: In light of my experience, this video is a combination of an educational analysis of concerts, toxic fans, promotions, and generally any artist.
My opinion is inserted throughout the video, and lastly, a portion detailing my actual experience at the festival seeing the Vybz Kartel concert in Germany.
All of it will be tied into mental health/wellness. I have been a fan of Vybz for 20 years and will provide my honest opinion of seeing him live. Summerjam Festival I can only recommend Summerjam as a wonderful and family-friendly yearly event. • 9/12/26Italian Cooking with Mom
We made cannelloni for Mother's Day! Enjoy some special moments with my mom as we make one of the traditional recipes I grew up eating on special occasions. I originally learned to make dishes from my Italian grandmother.
We made things like lasagna, pasta from scratch, Italian ring cookies, plus more. Cannelloni is a long process, and normally, you make everything from scratch. The tomato sauce, the minced meat stuffing, the béchamel sauce, and the pasta, which you would make the dough, then roll the sheets in the machine, and cut to size.
Okay, so here we made everything except the pasta sheets this time around to save some time; we purchased them from a local Italian store. We bought the refrigerated kinds, but you could also buy the dry ones. Either way, you have to cook them first. My mom came for a swift stopover visit, and we made the most of our time together.
Thanks for tuning in & remember:
