    Please Do Compare

This video is from my IG and is both a response and a continuation of an older video I made on comparing. I’m using a clip of this guy as a direct example of why I support comparing in general and in relationships.

In the clip, he says he doesn’t think women should have certain rights, including that women shouldn't have unsupervised access to other women, and that their social media should be monitored, etc.

Has comparing any aspect of your life led to a positive life change for you? Feel free to also check out the original video on comparing in the mindset playlist titled “There’s Nothing Wrong with Comparing”. • ‘All Women are the Same’ - Are They?

‘All Women are the Same’ - Are They?

    Let me make this clear…

If anything I say about what I am - not - interested in triggers you, threatens your identity, your expectations, or your fantasy of how a woman ‘should’ exist, and your first instinct is to lash out in the comments, don’t bother & don’t embarrass yourself.

You would not be checking me; you’d be merely exposing yourself (your unresolved insecurities). Take that discomfort somewhere useful, like therapy.

There have been some occasions in my life where a women lashed out over not only my interests/talents/abilities BUT, even more telling, over my lack of interest.

My disinterest seems to short-circuit some people. Instead of asking themselves why it bothers them, they project. They decide I must think I’m superior simply because I don’t want what they want.

That belief lives entirely in your head.

So, speak for yourself. If - you -  think I believe I’m better than you, congratulations on the self-report! lol. What you’re really admitting is that - you - believe I’m better than you 😂

People don’t react to confidence; they react to what it exposes in them. I am not here to carry the weight of your jealousy.

    Why I Prefer Male Friends

This topic always gets people talking, so here are my honest thoughts. In this video, I explain why I personally prefer male friendships, what I value in those relationships, and how my own experiences have shaped my perspective.

This is not about saying one type of friendship is better than another. It is about sharing my truth. I’ve had incredible friendships with both men and women. Whether you agree or see things differently, I appreciate hearing different viewpoints.

  • Mental illness, Homelessness & Misconceptions | Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, Stress

Mental illness, Homelessness & Misconceptions | Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, Stress

My family and I have been navigating the journey of supporting a loved one with mental illness for well over a decade.

My sister's missing persons report was publicly posted by the Federal police, along with other community pages, which garnered a lot of interest (thankfully, she was found!).

Due to the repetitive comments people often make (and a few very ignorant remarks), I’d like to set some things straight regarding mental illness and homelessness.

Over the years, we have heard many well-intentioned but ultimately unhelpful comments. Such statements often reflect a lack of understanding and can be unintentionally hurtful. I hope this can help you gain a better understanding of this topic and allow you to spread awareness about it with others.

    Thanks for tuning in.

  • Men Get Abused Too.

    Men Get Abused Too.

Many people recognize emotional abuse when the victim is a woman. Far fewer recognize it when the victim is a man.

In this video essay, I explore how controlling, manipulative, and emotionally abusive behaviours can become so normalized that they're dismissed as "just how women are," "happy wife, happy life," or "that's just marriage."

    We discuss:

    • Why common relationship behaviours aren't always healthy.

    • The difference between insecurity, emotional dependence, and emotional abuse.

    • What female-on-male emotional abuse can actually look like.

    • Why constantly walking on eggshells isn't normal.

    • How mental health may explain behaviour but never excuses abuse.

    • Accountability, boundaries, and protecting your own wellbeing.

This video is not about attacking women or denying that women experience abuse. Women absolutely do experience abuse. Abuse is abuse regardless of who commits it or who experiences it.

If this video helps even one person recognise unhealthy relationship patterns or feel less alone, then it was worth making.

If you found value in this discussion, consider liking the video, subscribing, and sharing it with someone who may need to hear it.

I'd also love to hear your thoughts in the comments. Please keep the discussion respectful and constructive.

  • Oops Your Jealousy is Showing.

    Oops Your Jealousy is Showing.

Jealousy is an emotion. Weaponizing it is a choice.

There's a big difference between recognizing your insecurities and making everyone else responsible for them.

If you're constantly monitoring your partner's every move, creating stories about people who've done nothing to you, or confusing control with love, it may be time to ask yourself whether you're protecting your relationship or feeding your own fears.

In this video, I break down 10 behaviors that are often disguised as "being protective" but are actually rooted in insecurity and jealousy.

Healthy relationships aren't built on surveillance, manipulation, or control. They're built on trust, communication, emotional maturity, and accountability.

Your insecurities are your responsibility. They're not your partner's responsibility, and they're certainly not the responsibility of innocent people you've decided to compete with.

Which behavior do you think gets normalized the most in relationships?

  • We Don't Sleep Together

    We Don't Sleep Together

Sleeping separately often leads people to jump to negative conclusions, ones that usually say more about their assumptions or insecurities than about the relationship itself. “Something must be wrong.”

What if sleeping in separate bedrooms is actually a sign that something is working?

In this episode of ‘Eff' Norms, we're questioning the relationship "rules" we've been taught to accept without ever asking whether they actually make our lives better. For us, separate bedrooms mean better sleep, more peace, and a stronger, happier relationship, not less love.

You don't need a traditional relationship. You need one that works for you. What's one relationship "rule" you've challenged or let go of? Share it in the comments.

  • Why ‘Years Together’ Mean Nothing.

    Why ‘Years Together’ Mean Nothing.

Stop measuring relationships by time. Start measuring them by truth. Today’s episode of Eff’ Norms: We Don’t Celebrate Anniversaries or “Longevity”. Some of you are not in love; you are just committed to staying. Too many people pride themselves on celebrating “X amount of years together” as if longevity alone equals success.

This one ties directly into my last video about what people think they need for a “healthy relationship.” Years together do not mean ‘healthy’; it can mean fear, comfort, or survival. Here we reflect on what people are really celebrating….

Celebrate Valentines & Miserable All Year.

Roses are red, violets are blue… 🌹 You criticize those Who Don't Value Valentine's…Yet You Celebrate it while in a Toxic Relationship… Who knew?! 🥀 😜😉

It might be time to rethink what Valentine’s Day really means and whether it should be used as a tool or measurement of a relationship’s success. It may also be worth reconsidering the assumption that if someone chooses to opt out, it must come from a negative place.

Sometimes it is not about rejection or resentment. It can simply reflect a different perspective on love and how it is expressed and celebrated 💘

  • Holiday Gatherings Don’t Make up for Neglecting Your Wellness.

Holiday Gatherings Don’t Make up for Neglecting Your Wellness.

Cherishing your loved ones doesn’t just mean spending ‘time’ together. Time means nothing if you choose to either stay toxic or neglect your health - which will catch up to you eventually & make everyone suffer around you. Love is attachment, just like a web. If one part of the web is affected, it affects the entire web. People cannot change you; they can send you messages, but it’s up to you to care enough to change.

  • 5 Sneaky Ways People Disguise Control, & Abuse in a Relationship

5 Sneaky Ways People Disguise Control, & Abuse in a Relationship

Two toxic individuals can easily develop a toxic dynamic in which both partners feed into each other’s harmful behaviors.

Over time, this dynamic becomes normalized, and they may even become defensive, enabling, or making excuses for it. When one partner is controlling or abusive, and the other comes from an upbringing where love was inconsistent or withheld, the dynamic becomes even more complicated.

The deprived partner may interpret control as care, mistaking the intensity for love. This creates a harmful yet powerful bond, forming a perfect recipe for confusion, dependency, and a cycle that feels familiar rather than healthy. Within their shared reality, they may genuinely believe they are happy, simply because this is the only version of “love” they’ve ever known.

Lacking exposure to healthier relationships, they remain oblivious to the dysfunction. And ultimately, if that is the dynamic they accept and are satisfied with, it becomes their version of normal.
